World is the 3rd planet from the Sun and the only known invest the galaxy where life exists. Usually called the "Blue Planet" because over 70% of its area is covered by water, Planet is a remarkable earth filled up with diverse areas, areas, and ecosystems. From towering mountain stages to strong water trenches, World helps an amazing variety of life forms, including people, who've developed civilizations across their continents.
Beneath their surface, Earth is composed of several layers. The outermost layer, called the crust, involves both the land we live on and the ocean floor. Beneath that lies the mantle, a thick coating of slowly flowing rock. Greater still is the external core, made of molten metal that generates Earth's magnetic subject, and at the very middle may be the stable internal key, created mainly of metal and nickel. Encompassing the planet is the atmosphere, a protective layer of gases—mostly nitrogen and oxygen—that helps life, gives breathable air, shields us from hazardous radiation, and helps control temperature.
Certainly one of Earth's most defining characteristics is its abundance of water. Oceans cover a lot of the planet and enjoy an essential role in regulating environment and supporting marine life. Freshwater places like rivers, lakes, glaciers, and undercover aquifers are important for drinking water, agriculture, and other types of life. Earth's climate ranges from hawaiian regions close to the equator to polar locations at the poles. Weather habits are pushed by sunshine, the planet's turning, and ocean currents. Nevertheless, human activities such as for instance burning fossil fuels and deforestation have caused climate modify, ultimately causing growing temperatures, intense weather, and environmental stress.
Planet can be a geologically active planet. Its crust is broken in to tectonic dishes that shift gradually with time, creating earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and the development of hills and sea basins.
