Hotel and hotel mattresses are very different from the ones we usually buy home. Do you remember how sweet it is to sleep in hotels? Although we are used to measuring our comfort with the phrase "like at home", but sometimes this method fails. What is the matter? Why do we fall asleep faster, sleep better and wake up easier in a hotel room than in our own nest?

The price of sleep
Hotel owners know very well that you cannot save on the convenience of sleep, because a person who has not slept well will be dissatisfied with everything around. And since visitors usually come for a short time, it is necessary to leave a good impression, first of all, in ensuring a comfortable sleep. This includes sound insulation of walls, floors and ceilings, reinforced double-glazed windows, blackout curtains, underfloor heating, and high-quality bedding. But the main thing is a good mattress that will suit all kinds of requirements and characteristics of a person. Therefore, the arrangement of a bed in a hotel is often expensive.

Note: If you want to check the price of medicated mattress, just visit the website or search online.

Of course, depending on the class of the hotel, the cost of creating beds for guests varies. Do not expect that sleep in a hostel and Radisson hotels will be equally good. In the first case, the most practical option awaits you, which you will not miss. In hostels, where beds have a hard time due to the flow of visitors, spring mattresses with a Bonnel block and a layer of polyurethane foam on top are most often at work. There are also medium-hard springless options made of polyurethane foam, which are valued for their reliability.

Middle-class hotels usually buy orthopedic mattresses with independent spring blocks and hypoallergenic fillers. The quality of the spring block greatly affects the comfort of sleep. Unlike their simple counterparts, where all the springs are located in a single block, in such mattresses each spring is packed in a separate cover and can move independently of the others. Such options cost from 20 to 50 thousand rubles.

But in 5-star hotels, the price of arranging a bed can reach 200 thousand rubles. This is already a real "cosmos" of the sleeping world from luxury brands: Tempur, Kamasana, Stearns & Foster - anatomical mattresses that can withstand any weight of the visitor. In hotels, they use either mattresses made of independent top-level spring blocks, or models without springs made of modern materials such as Memory Foam. Combined options are also often used, where the spring mechanism is complemented by environmentally friendly layers and a topper to adjust the stiffness.

What mattresses are used in the best hotels in the world?
In the best hotels in the world - Hilton, Marriott or Four Seasons hotels - guests are offered the most comfortable mattresses. Interestingly, Four Seasons hotels are well aware of the impression their sleeping places make on guests: in the morning you can order the same model for your home. A similar service is offered by the W hotel chain, famous for its 33-centimeter-thick feather beds with more than a thousand insulated springs inside (there are about 250 of them in a regular mattress).

Both chains offer visitors rooms with beds of various firmnesses. In many Radisson hotels, there are Sleep Room rooms, where, in addition to choosing the firmness of the bed, you can get a combination mattress, where one half will be firmer, and the other will be softer. It is convenient if the couple has different preferences.

Hilton hotels believe that their mattresses are the best in the world thanks to the special contoured cutting of the top layer of foam and the signature quilted coating, which stimulate blood circulation and have a massage effect. The chain also sells its mattresses. But Marriott relies on height and modern technology. Here guests will find feather beds 34 cm high, filled with polyurethane foam. The same type of beds is used in the Ritz hotels.

There are a number of standard requirements for hotel mattresses.
Sleeping places for hotels must be durable. It is well known that any mattress loses its declared characteristics over time. Even if you have purchased the best available model, on average after 8-10 years, it must be replaced. The simpler the mattress, the sooner it will become unusable. In hotels with expensive luxury models, durability is very important, otherwise the hotel will go bankrupt on the replacement of beds.

Hypoallergenicity of all components of a featherbed is also a mandatory characteristic of hotel mattresses. Few visitors will be happy if allergies spoil their vacation. But mattress fillers can cause both acute allergic attacks, which are difficult not to notice, and slight swelling of the mucous membranes, which is disguised as an ordinary runny nose, but greatly interferes with sleep.

The third pillar on which the comfort of mattresses for hotels stands is versatility. Luxury mattresses are designed to be equally comfortable for people without orthopedic problems and those of us who have back problems. That is why the night on the right bed flies by unnoticed.
