What is the difference between Revit Structure, Architecture, and MEP?
Autodesk Revit is available in 3 different versions, Revit Architecture (Architecture), Revit Structure (Structure) and Revit Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP). Each version caters to a particular discipline of Building Information Modeling. These tools allow professionals to create 3D detailed model, perform analyses, and produce collaborative construction documentation.
Core Purpose
Revit Architecture allows you to design the interiors, exteriors and overall shape for any building. The software allows you to create walls, floors and roofs. The software includes tools to design walls, floors, and roofs. It also has tools to conceptually mass a building. Revit Structure was designed for structural engineers. The course focuses on the foundations, beams and columns, as well as reinforcement detailing and load bearing analysis.
