Black Ops 7 is so fast that if you are not squeezing every bit of value out of your tacticals, you are basically giving the other team free kills, especially when they are abusing tools like a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby to warm up and learn angles. You know the feeling: you sprint into a doorway, someone is already holding a pixel angle, and you are sent straight back to the respawn screen. That is where your tacticals should do the work for you. They are not just noise at the start of a round. Used right, they set up fights you are meant to win, turning risky pushes into almost guaranteed trades or better.

Flashbangs And Concussions For Pure Aggression
Flashbangs are your green light. A lot of players toss a flash, wait for the sound, then walk in slowly, which just gives the enemy time to recover or prefire. You want to throw it so it pops as you hit the doorframe, then slide or bunny-hop straight in while you are already aiming at the common corners. When you catch someone on a full white screen, they are not fighting back; they are just guessing. Concussion grenades feel even more evil. Tag somebody in a tight hallway or on a staircase and you will notice it at once – their turn speed is wrecked, their aim drags. That is your cue to sprint right at them with an SMG or shotgun. Do not hesitate and do not peek for information twice. Commit and trust that they literally cannot spin in time to track you.

Turning Smokes Into Attack Tools
Smokes used to feel like pure objective gear in older games, just something you threw on B flag or a hardpoint hill and hoped for the best. In Black Ops 7, they are way more offensive if you plan around them. A standard smoke already blocks a sniper lane, but the Thermal Smoke Grenade changes the whole fight. You drop a thick cloud that everyone assumes is safe cover, but you see their silhouettes clean through it while they stare into a grey wall. You can shoulder peek, pre-aim where they have to walk, and farm them as they stumble out thinking the lane is clear. It is basically a one-way window if you time it with a push and have at least one teammate ready to swing with you.

EMPs, Decoys And Breaking Setups
EMPs shine when the other team is turtling. If you know a room is stacked with a Trophy System, Sentry Gun, or any other gadgets, an EMP tossed in first rips all that safety net away. You will often hear the hit markers, see the sentry go dark, and that is when the camper inside starts panicking, swapping guns or backing off the angle. That small moment is enough for you to slide in and clean up. Decoy grenades are more about messing with the enemy's head than doing raw damage. In a busy 6v6 lobby, throwing a decoy to the left side while you and a teammate quietly flank right works far more often than it should. People hear the fake shots and footsteps, call it out, and shift their crosshairs the wrong way. In a game where everyone is trying to "sound whore" every little noise, feeding them false info is basically stealing kills.

Finishing Fights On Affected Players
The real difference between average players and the ones who carry is what happens after the tactical lands. You should already have a follow-up plan before you even pull the pin. If your flash hits two enemies in a small room, you swing wide and focus on the first silhouette that moves; do not sit in the doorway trading bullets. If a concussion explodes at the top of a staircase, you sprint up and strafe hard, because their slowed turn speed means your movement wins the duel for you. When a smoke goes down on a lane you want to cross, you either use thermal to punish anyone sitting in it or you use the cloud to slip through and appear where they do not expect you. When an EMP disables a turret or Trophy, you flood that space before they can throw another piece of gear. If you start thinking of every tactical as the first half of the kill and your gun as the second half, you end up chaining quick, clean fights that feel almost unfair, especially once you are comfortable enough with your routes that you do not need a buy BO7 Bot Lobby just to learn how to push common setups. At U4GM you're not just reading another cookie?cutter Black Ops 7 guide, you're getting straight, practical stuff on turning flashbangs, concussions, smoke and thermal plays into real kills that feel insanely satisfying. We break down how to push through chokepoints, chain tacticals into easy picks and actually win more fights instead of just "using grenades and hoping".
