Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my experience from this past weekend. I've had my 2022 Cadillac Escalade for about 18 months now, and while I love this vehicle, I'll be honest I haven't been the best at keeping up with proper maintenance beyond the basics. Between work, kids, and life in general, regular washing became a quick drive through situation, and I can't remember the last time I actually cleaned the interior properly.
The leather was looking dull, there were mysterious sticky spots on the center console (thanks, kids), and the exterior had developed this sort of hazy, tired look despite being black. I finally decided enough was enough and looked into getting a Cadillac full car detailing and polishing service done right.
I ended up taking it to a place that specializes in luxury vehicles, and wow – I seriously didn't recognize my own car when I picked it up. The paint now has this deep, mirror like shine that I haven't seen since I drove it off the lot. They corrected all these swirl marks I didn't even know were there and applied some kind of ceramic coating for protection. The chrome accents are gleaming, and even the wheels look brand new.
Inside was equally impressive. They steam cleaned everything, conditioned all the leather (which now feels buttery soft again), and somehow got every single crumb and piece of debris out of places I didn't know existed. Even the headliner looks fresh. The whole car smells amazing now – not from some overpowering air freshener, but just clean.
The whole process took about 6 to 7 hours, which I wasn't expecting, but they explained that doing it properly takes time. They were super thorough and even sent me progress photos throughout the day.
Honestly, it feels like driving a brand new Escalade again. If you've been putting off getting your Cadillac properly detailed like I was, I can't recommend it enough. Totally worth the investment to bring it back to showroom condition!
Anyone else had similar experiences with detailing? I'm now wondering how often I should be doing this to keep it looking this good.
