Hi everyone, so I want to get some practical advice from people who have actually dealt with waste management logistics in a hospitality or large commercial setting because the situation at my workplace has been bothering me for months and I feel like we're long overdue for an upgrade. I work in facilities management for a mid sized hotel property here in the UAE and one of the recurring complaints from our housekeeping team is that the current bins we have on the service floors are simply not practical for the volume of waste they need to move during peak hours, mainly because they're too small and don't roll smoothly enough to be moved quickly through our service corridors without creating noise or disrupting guests. The housekeeping supervisor mentioned that what we really need is a proper mobile trash bin with a secure lid and smooth rolling casters that can handle being pushed fully loaded across different floor surfaces without the wheels jamming or the lid rattling, which sounds simple enough but apparently finding the right one at the right size for a hotel environment is harder than it sounds. I came across crateco.ae while researching options and found it useful for comparing different bin sizes and understanding which wheel configurations actually work on smooth tiled surfaces versus carpeted areas, which is something I hadn't even thought about as a variable before. What I genuinely want to know from anyone who manages a similar property or large commercial building is what capacity works best for a busy floor with multiple rooms, whether 120 liters is enough or whether you end up needing something closer to 240 liters to avoid staff having to make too many trips to the service elevator, and whether the bins you're using have held up well to daily commercial use without the casters failing prematurely.
