Let's Talk About the Unsung Heroes — Indian Swimm

12:20 AM 		Hey everyone! I've been diving deep (pun intended ??) into the history of Indian swimmers, and honestly, I'm blown away by how underrated they are in mainstream sports conversations.
We talk endlessly about cricket, kabaddi, and even badminton — but when was the last time someone brought up Bhakti Sharma swimming 2.3 km in Antarctic water at 1°C? Or Arati Saha crossing the English Channel in 1959 as the first Asian woman to do so? These are world-class achievements!
What really got me thinking was reading about Virdhawal Khade competing at the Beijing Olympics and Sajan Prakash at Rio. These Indian swimmers trained relentlessly with limited resources compared to their international counterparts — and they still showed up on the global stage.
I also want to shout out Shikha Tandon who qualified for TWO separate Olympic events and racked up 146 national medals. That's absolutely insane and barely anyone talks about her!

What structural changes (funding, infrastructure, coaching) do you think would help India produce more Olympic-level Indian swimmers?
