The gas station robot automates the full fueling sequence without requiring the driver to leave the vehicle. It identifies the fuel cap, opens the inner and outer caps, positions and inserts the nozzle, starts and stops fueling, then withdraws the nozzle, closes the cap, and returns to its home position. The complete process takes about 180 seconds and enables a fully contactless departure from the station.
